Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
Ah... What an exciting time. My last post being rather drab and dreary... I must update. This time is better, it is a good time. I do have a rather low paying job, not even making minimum wage really. But, I thoroughly enjoy it, so I'm okay with that. My grammar and syntax will not be correct in this post, that's just how it is. I'm starting school soon to become an aircraft mechanic.

Now, onto the insanity. I'm finding myself a bit crazier than I previously ever remember being. Obsessing over small details and becoming strangely attached to insignificant phenomena. The universe seems as though it is not always such a happy place. I am trying to reconcile this of course with a bit of throat singing (my new hobby.) It's enlightening.

More soon to come.

Alex

P.S. If anyone has any art of Thelema related writings of any type or sort they would like to have published in the upcoming journal in San Antonio, TX, give me a shout.

Love is the Law, love under Will.

I should probably make more poems that are about thelema... perhaps I'll make one tomorrow. :)

And looks like you are going to be a bunch more successful than I am. Well financially anyway... the definition of success is different for everyone.

I'm back with the love of my life and I feel pretty successful right now. :)

That's always good, it makes things better I would say. We are young, things will have their time to work out. Let me know if you feel like contributing your work to our pub.

Yeah, right now I'm pretty stuck but I'm hoping to start my path on becoming a doctor... though it will probably take over 40 years because I'll be working full time as I expand my education.

I might contribute my work depending on if I judge it as good enough quality. As I don't have a very good education with poetry, I've developed my own freestyles and they don't always work out the way I want them to.

You seem like a person that doesn't like routine and boredom...
I like this.

If you'd like to share with me personal experience regarding the practical use of magic, I'm all for it. I have few people to share these things with and new knowledge is always welcomed.

Unfortunately my personal experience is pretty limited in the magickal arena. I have more experience with the mystical techniques of yoga. I am always interested however, and would like to become more involved. Do you have a daily routine? What have you had success with?

I see. I also practice Yoga, however I'm only at the start of the road. I'm currently working on my Asana. Once or twice a day, although there are days I skip, especially if I'm feeling tired or not in the right mood. I'm shooting for a one hour goal with the asana, I currently am around the barrier of 40 minutes. If you have any recommandations with yoga, tell me. Crowley is my main inspiration regarding yoga.

As for the magic, I consider myself more of a chaos magician than a thelemite. Currently, my succes revolves around the sigil technique developed by AO Spare. I've had few clear successes with it and I develop it however I can, by casting a sigil whenever I have a new idea in mind- alas small things, because practice with small things consolidates ones ability.

I also developed my own banishing ritual, which I need to practice daily, to make it more effective and to improve my ability to visualize.

That's about all I can say for now. I'm really at the start of the road too...

Hmm, that is fascinating. I have not really had any success with sigils. What is your secret?

As for yoga, only thing I can recommend is to pay extreme attention to the conditions surrounding "good" and "bad" performances. These nuances will end up making worlds of difference in the long run. I notice that I always need a rather cool temperature to maintain posture for any duration. You may also want to consider the idea that most Hindu Yogis are on a consistent diet of marijuana and tea to keep them where they need to be mentally.

Interesting. I never paid attention to my environment, just to my mental state. I will pay more attention from now on though...

As for sigils you need to practice with your method of activating them. I had success with sexual gnosis until now. I am attempting the death posture...I'll just have to see what effect it has (holding my breath near the barrier of fainting and then letting go to visualize the sigil while breathing deeply in a state of near panic).

The secret is to do sigils as often as possible. Also you need not think nor meditate on the sigil nor on the desired effect afterwards. If it pops up in your mind every now and then that's fine. But don't meditate on it. Start off with small things. If they are small and unimportant you won't have any obsession surrounding them.

So, I think of what I want, make the sigil for it, but don't meditate? Just activate it? For sexual gnosis does the orgasm need to be particularly strong?
